Cars & Coffee

& breakfast!

Second Saturday of Every Month!

Cars and Coffee for a Cause was started by Jacob Spielberg, a 18-year-old boy from Prospect, KY. Jacob was diagnosed at age 8 with an incurable disease called Dystonia. By age 10 Jacob's dystonia was so aggressive and he could no longer get out of bed or go to school. It was then that Jacob became a candidate for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery for Dystonia which is not a cure but a treatment.

Now, 8 years after his treatment, Jacob is living the life of a normal teenage boy. As a way of saying "Thank You" to the foundation that helped him get this treatment, Jacob has turned his love for cars into a monthly charity event called Cars and Coffee. The Spielberg family decided to team up with Captain's Quarters, and on the second Saturday of every month, cars are invited to come and park in the CQ parking lot from 8am-10am. Who doesn't love seeing unique cars at a waterfront restaurant like ours? Proceeds from the event go to the Mount Sinai Movement Disorder Clinic.

Please stop by the information table to put your name on the email list, or make a donation to Jacob's cause. LOVE LIFE bands and CLIPS FOR A CURE which are two of Jacob's other projects are also available at the table. Make sure to come out and see Louisville's finest all to help fund a cure for Dystonia!
